Freiheit ist, gegen den Apparat zu spielen.&ldquo; Flusser, Vil&eacute;m: F&uuml;r eine Philosophie der Fotografie, G&ouml;ttingen 1994  &bdquo;Framing&ldquo; ist der Prozess der bewussten Einbettung von Ereignissen und Themen in Deutungsraster und Narrative. Dadurch erfolgt eine Selektion und Strukturierung komplexer Informationen. So werden spezifische Problemdefinitionen, Ursachenzuschreibungen und moralische Bewertungen in der jeweiligen Thematik betont. In der Kognitionspsychologie hat sich der Begriff des &bdquo;Schemas&ldquo; durchgesetzt. Dieses Konzept fokussiert sich nicht auf Ph&auml;nomene &ouml;ffentlicher Kommunikation, sondern auf die Informationsverarbeitung, den Wissenserwerb und die Ged&auml;chtnisbildung auf der intrapsychischen Ebene. Schemata sind kognitive Strukturen, die die Organisation von Wissen und Ged&auml;chtnis auf intrapsychischer Ebene erm&ouml;glichen. In diesem Modell wird das Ged&auml;chtnis als eine Art &bdquo;kognitive Landkarte&ldquo; betrachtet. Diese erm&ouml;glicht die Informationsverarbeitung und -speicherung in einem bestimmten Rahmen. &bdquo;Reframing&ldquo; ist die F&auml;higkeit, Ereignisse und Verhaltensweisen in einem neuen Kontext zu betrachten. Wenn die Wahrnehmung der Bedeutung eines Geschehens ver&auml;ndert wird, kann das Geschehen selbst einer Ver&auml;nderung unterzogen werden. Die Definition des &bdquo;FRAME&ldquo; entspricht meiner aktuellen Art des Arrangierens der Exponate in den &bdquo;site-specific foto installations&ldquo;. Das hei&szlig;t, dass die Fotoinstallationen bei jeder Probeh&auml;ngung und Pr&auml;sentation neu aus dem Archiv zusammengestellt werden. Diese sehe ich nicht als Muster, sondern als paradigmatische Konnotation.<br></h2>  <h2 class="wsite-content-title">F&uuml;r diese Art der Kunstpr&auml;sentation bedient sich <a href="http://www.karoegoldt.de/" target="_blank">Kar&oslash; Goldt</a> aus ihrem Foto-Archiv 1993-2025, analog und digital. Ihre k&uuml;nstlerische Arbeit mit Foto und Video ist nicht chronologisch zu verstehen. Sie ist vielmehr ein zusammenh&auml;ngendes und polyvalentes Gesamtwerk, das sich stetig erweitert und ver&auml;ndert. Goldts k&uuml;nstlerische Methodik n&auml;hert sich der Frage nach dem Bildhaften und der Zeit mit den Mitteln der Fotografie und des Films. Goldt greift aktuelle Themen auf und hinterfragt in ihrer Arbeit unter anderem gesellschaftspolitische und ethische Dynamiken der Gesellschaft.  <strong>FRAME &amp; Friends</strong> ist als Ausstellungsformat angelegt, in dem Kar&oslash; Goldt neben den eigenen site-specific Foto-Installationen weitere K&uuml;nstlerinnen einl&auml;dt. Diese zeigen jeweils f&uuml;r einen begrenzten Zeitraum eigene Arbeiten im Ausstellungsraum und beziehen sich dabei auf die installierten Frames. Die eingeladenen Positionen wechseln im Verlauf der Ausstellung. It is an important component of an area's power supply.<br />Artists also perform a transformation from one voltage level to another with their work. They perceive social trends and translate them into their work. This is an important part of the discourse supply of society.<br /><br />With the TRAFO exhibition, we are presenting a snapshot of artistic positions that come together for a few days to form an exciting community. The compilation of exhibits, each of which represents a transformation of information, energy and meaning, is a temporary transformer station in an exhibition setting. Since the early 1990s, her work has explored the interplay between perception, memory, and the structures through which we interpret reality.<br /><br />Over the past three decades, Goldt has built a distinctive body of work at the intersection of photography, film, and theory. Her artistic method&mdash;referred to as &ldquo;framing&rdquo;&mdash;examines how perception, memory, and context continuously reshape meaning. In each new constellation, archival images are rearranged to form temporary, spatial essays on seeing and remembering.<br /><br />In her ongoing series FRAME (2022&ndash;2025), Goldt develops site-specific photo installations composed from her extensive analog and digital archive. Each iteration is newly arranged in response to the given space, evoking a continuous process of re-framing and reinterpretation. Her approach draws upon psychology, sociology, and quantum theory &mdash; questioning how meaning shifts when context, perception, or spatial relationships change.<br /><br />&ldquo;The world as a whole is blurred,&rdquo; Im letzten Jahr wurde der Faden mit der Ausstellung "Zero Tolerance" und 135 teilnehmenden K&uuml;nstler*innen wieder aufgenommen. Mit diesmal 189 beteiligten K&uuml;nstler*innen ist die Dichte der Arbeiten im Ausstellungsraum nochmal deutlich erh&ouml;ht.<br /><br /><strong>"Close To The Edge"</strong><br /><br />Die 1980er Jahre, das letzte Jahrzehnt des Kalten Kriegs, ist gepr&auml;gt von drohenden Auseinandersetzungen im Ost-West-Konflikt mit zun&auml;chst noch Auf- und sp&auml;ter dann Abr&uuml;stung, der &Ouml;ffnung zum Ostblock bis hin zum Mauerfall, dem Erstarken des Neoliberalismus, dem Schauspieler Ronald Reagan als amerikanischen Pr&auml;sidenten &uuml;ber zwei Amtsperioden, dem Beginn der &Auml;ra Kanzler Kohl. The works are presented with no mention of authorship or title and offered </span><span style="color:#ef4a14">for sale at a symbolic price of 250&euro; each.</span><span> The identity of the artist is revealed only after the work is sold: Sold drawings will be taken right off the wall and the empty space left behind will be marked with the artist&lsquo;s full name and place of origin.</span>  <br />  <span>ANONYMOUS DRAWINGS is conceptual art and an exhibition project all in one: the works of the participating artists become part of a large wall installation; a hierarchy-free homage to the diverse medium of drawing.</span>  <br />  <span>The exhibition was preceded by an international open call for entries. There were no requirements in terms of content or form. The only requirement was that the submitted drawing is no bigger than A3. Age, biography or gender of the artists were not requested and did not play any role in the anonymous selection process. The exhibited drawings were selected from over 4400 submissions by the artist and project founder Anke Becker. Im semi-&ouml;ffentlichen Gespr&auml;ch geht es schlie&szlig;lich um eine Auseinandersetzung auf Augenh&ouml;he, d.h. darum, moderiertes Feedback zu geben, konstruktive Kritik zu &uuml;ben, nicht hinsichtlich der eigenen Positionierung und m&ouml;glicher Hierarchien zu handeln. In both cases, they depict a longer period of their respective artistic work and engage with the themes of violence, exclusion, nationalism, transgender rights and feminism. The approaches of the two artists are very different. They can be read as an examination of social and political issues, but also biographically or as a critical commentary on the art world. The robust and provocative exhibition title alone, which in (german) left-wing political circles would be called &ldquo;stabil&rdquo; (basic), serves as a clear indication of this. The exhibition title, also references. The fact that all art is political. Only the more privileged are able to be blind to this truth. The work complexes of Garbasz and Elstermeyer are brought into a spatial relationship creating the tension of entanglement which is also an aesthetic one. However, growth happens outside one&rsquo;s comfort zone, only by looking inwards does the universe open up and we can see the world. The question arises for me whether it is possible at the moment to make non-political and/or non-feminist art. Or is it appropriate right now to become apolitical out of antagonism? It is not possible to successfully escape the tide of things going wrong. Nor is it possible to take a position on everything. The overall picture is a bleak one.<br /><br />What artists can do is speak out over and over again and present an attitude to the grievances and the general and personal situation.<br /><br />One consequence of the situation described above is the permanent underlying anger I feel, which is accompanied by an exhaustion of having to negotiate the same thing over and over again, which I call rage'n'boredom here.<br /><br />For this exhibition I have invited colleagues to exemplify the socio-psychological situation of artists from different perspectives. The positions of the participating artists show in the exhibition with the accompanying performative parts a personal picture of the current situation and take their own attitude, which is combined in the exhibition to an overall impression. The aim is to bring the exhibits and performances into their own visual-acoustic dialogue.</font></font><br /><br /><font><font size="3">During the discussions in preparation for this exhibition it became clear: we share an interest in expressing ourselves, but we did not agree on the terms anger and boredom. The discussions in the preparation were interesting, intense, controversial and it became clear to me that it is not possible here to come to a text that can be formulated in a "we". But what seems more important to me is: in the exhibition we will present ourselves together and in very different ways for 5 hours. The emphasis here is on the dialogical of the different artistic positions and not on a theoretical common attitude. The discussions in the preparation, such as formulating the differences, disagreeing and yet working out a project together critically, which show the similarities and also the differences is the result.</font></font><br /><br /><br /><br /><font><font size="3"><span><strong>Recorder Performance "Pied Piper" Otto Hashmi</strong></span></font></font><br /><font><font size="3"><span>Otto Hashmi plays a free recorder composition inspired by the motif of the Pied Piper of Hamelin. The beginning is classically calm and ends in the rage of the present. Create your own Doris!" and provided 19 non-copyrighted recordings made between 1980 and 1982 for own compositions, which should not last longer than three minutes. From these, Matthias Mayer aka DJ Sporty Jack produced the track "Abbau der Welt" (Dismantling the World) using his own sampling and mixing technique that combines anologous and digital processes, which he performs with the help of numerous cassette decks and large mixing consoles. Goldts Videoarbeiten werden aus digitalen und analogen Fotografien animiert. In den Videos arbeitet sie in engem Austausch mit verschiedenen Musiker*innen. Goldts grafisch bemerkenswerte Videos basieren auf experimentellen und digital manipulierten fotografischen Abz&uuml;gen, die durch die Animation zu verst&ouml;rend sch&ouml;nen Bildkompositionen werden: formal minimalistisch, sinnlich intensiv. Indem sie einerseits reale Objekte akribisch beobachten und verfremden, andererseits virtuelle Bildwelten schaffen, die an Realit&auml;ten erinnern, erreichen Goldts Filme einen Zustand des Dazwischen. Goldts k&uuml;nstlerische Methodik n&auml;hert sich der Frage nach dem Bildhaften und der Zeit mit den Mitteln der Fotografie und des Films. Und letztendlich auch sogenannte &ldquo;Ladenh&uuml;ter&rdquo; in Goldts eigenem Videoarchiv. Die&nbsp;sie in diesem Programm vorstellt: Fotofilme, die es weder in den Verleih noch auf ein Festival geschafft haben. Goldt erz&auml;hlt von allem was schief ging.
